The property
Take the road east from Porlock for about half a mile and you will come to the farming hamlet of Horner sheltering in the lee of Dunkery Hill. In Horner is a lovely Grade II listed detached farmhouse originating from the 14th century; lived in and loved by the same family for generations. To the front is a garden (trampoline, table/chairs, barbecue).

At the back, the friendly owner Mark lives in an annexe and runs an extensive equine business. Inside is comfy, homely, full of character and meant for relaxing in after being in the fresh air all day. From the garden, door to hall; 2 steps down to living room with huge ox-roasting inglenook (woodburner) and view of the stables.

Off the hallway you will also find the dining room looking on to the garden and a fitted kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, microwave) with table/chairs in the middle. Downstairs there is also a shower-room which can be accessed from main room or from second set of stairs.


From the hall, stairs leads up to five bedrooms a double with lovely long rural views (5 9" lintel), a double plus single with washbasin, a room with two sets of twin beds (one set linkable) with en suite shower, a twin with washbasin, and a bunk room plus single; bathroom (suite plus bath-shower); Upstairs there also a separate loo (washbasin).

There is ample of parking off the public road on the grounds of the property.

The House is the perfect place to relax and socialize with other riders after a long day in the saddle. When the House is not being used it is rented out at a holiday let.
