About Horner Farm

Horner Farm is a lovely Grade II listed detached farmhouse originating from the 14th Century, lived in and loved by the same family for three generations. The Farm is currently owned and managed by Mark Williams who runs an extensive equine business as well as rearing various farm animals.

Mark has been running riding weekends since 1991, although Horner Farm Riding Stables has been established for over 50 years. Mark lives on site and is a keen polo player, so riders benefit from having access to a string of fit, healthy polo ponies and hunters who thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to stretch their legs on the weekend rides. There are horses to suit every level and ability and Mark and his team take pride in carefully matching riders to horses they will enjoy.

There are not many riding weekends where you can experience riding across so many different types of terrain,  and where you are surrounded by beautiful views of Exmoor.  You will experience long canters and gallops at every opportunity on amazing horses. The horses are all fit and forward going - and know their job. Say good bye to pony trekking in single file - here at Horner Farm you will get the chance to canter abreast across the open moors.

There is only one way to truly experience Exmoor and that is on horseback, not only can you get to places not accessible by car and you will also be able to get up close to wild Exmoor ponies and deer, an encounter which is not possible on foot.

Experience a fun, relaxed and sociable weekend with like-minded riders - with horse riding routes perfectly timed to coincide with delicious Exmoor pub lunches, refreshments and evening meals.

Horner Farm offers a pick up facility from Taunton train station, making it an ideal weekend getaway from the City.
